Peaceworks Through Art – Mural Project
This project is a collaboration between Michigan Peaceworks and TreeTown Murals, painted by Mary Thiefels and John Vance. The work of art depicts close-up portraits of a dozen local war veterans and military service men and women as a mural outside the Alley Bar in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
This mural project was largely funded by Main Street Area Association and the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority (DDA).

good to meet you (or probably re-meet you) at the roadhouse the other day. i did drive by the mural which looks great. and now that i look at your website i see that you’ve done tons of great stuff around town. i’ll have to do a little driving tour to check it all out!
